Raphael Healthcare aims to continue to develop excellence and best practice across all disciplines.
The Farndon Unit in Newark now has links with three Universities providing psychology placements and Raphael Healthcare’s Deputy Clinical Director/ Lead Psychologist Phil Coombes is a guest lecturer at the University of Birmingham, the University of Nottingham and the University of York.
Raphael Healthcare continues to evolve and develop the service to meet clinical needs.

• The Farndon Unit is working with Aston University and Coventry University to introduce a new risk assessment tool GRIST to provide risk estimates for suicide, self-harm, self-neglect, and harm to others which will strengthen the service.
• The Farndon Unit introduces the recovery star. The tool is designed to support individuals in understanding where they are in terms of recovery and the progress they are making, providing both the client and worker a shared language for discussing mental health and wellbeing.
2009
• Raphael’s The Farndon Unit has received a national award from the Care Planning Approach Association (CPAA) for ‘Excellence in Monitoring and Evaluating the Care Planning Approach (CPA) Process’
