The first Employee of the Year ceremony was hosted by Raphael Healthcare Board members and attended by winners of Reward & Recognition awards.  The special lunch ceremony celebrated the commitment and dedication of Raphael Healthcare staff who had demonstrated ‘going that extra mile’.
 
Raphael Healthcare’s Chairman John Lamb presented the award and said “I understand it is not always an easy job and our staff may find it difficult and challenging at times but I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication to the organisation and having an award ceremony like this clearly demonstrates the commitment of the staff. It is an honour to be asked to present this award.”
 
All recipients of a Reward & Recognition award were nominated to receive the coveted “Employee of the Year” award which was voted by Raphael Healthcare staff.  Following a period of voting, Raphael Healthcare staff voted Carol Colins as their winner.
 
Carol said; “I would like to say a huge thank you and say how special the award is. It means a great deal to me that I received it. I sincerely believe that there are so many people at Raphael Healthcare who work so hard as a team that any one of them could have justifiably been awarded the employee of the year award. It is a genuine privilege to work with such a lovely team, all posts and positions in the company are relevant and important from the Chief Executive to the whole team including nursing; psychology; OT; housekeeping; maintenance and all other posts.  As a staff team, including Head Office, I believe “We Rock”! I was honoured to be able to celebrate staff achievements with such a special and dedicated group”.
