New People Person for Raphael Healthcare
As we embark on a new recruitment drive, Raphael Healthcare has appointed Julie Anderson as Director of Human Resources.
Raphael Healthcare operates The Farndon Unit in Newark, a specialist mental health facility for up to 30 patients, and employs nearly 100 members of staff.
Since opening in 2006 The Farndon Unit has been full and demand for its services has resulted in an extension to the existing premises being built offer a further 11 beds. Employing a mix of specialist mental health nurses, care assistants, as well as catering, administration and clerical people, from the Farndon area, Raphael Healthcare is keen to ensure that its operation not employs the best people for the job, but provides them with a high level of support and training to ensure they can deliver the best package of care.
Julie joins Raphael from EEF, one of the UK's leading providers of employment relations advice and is keen to ensure her experience is well utilised in her new role. She comments: "Raphael Healthcare has set itself very high standards as it strives to be a market leader in the provision of the highest quality services to people with mental illness. We will only achieve that goal through employing and retaining the best staff available, and my role is to help ensure that we have an HR operation to facilitate the personal development of the staff and collective development of the team."
