Raphael receives its second Seal of Approval
Raphael Healthcare has received its second seal of approval since opening for admissions in June 2006 by being awarded "Approved Provider" status for low secure services from West Midlands Specialised Commissioning Team.
This project was set up to strengthen the commissioning arrangements with the Independent Sector and other providers through the development of a formal procurement framework.
The project was launched in March 2008 to seek suitably qualified and experienced mental health and learning disabilities healthcare providers with the necessary capacity and capability to provide the range of specialist mental health and learning disabilities care services in Low and Medium Secure and CAMHS T4.
Raphael Healthcare was able to prove that it meets West Midlands stringent services specifications, quality standards and cost criteria.
Paula Holdsworth, Director of Operations for Raphael Healthcare commented; "It is clear that Raphael Healthcare have been able to demonstrate that patient centered care is at the core of the organisation throughout the past three years. It has also proven to its commitment to Commissioners year on year by reviewing and amending its pricing structures to offer competitive pricing without impacting on quality of care."
In July 2007 East Midlands procurement Hub created The 'Approved Provider' scheme as part of its plans to improve care for people with mental health and learning difficulties, as part of a bid to drive up standards while saving money for the NHS.
Raphael Healthcare was able to prove that it meets East Midlands stringent services specifications, quality standards and cost criteria, the score for quality of care was exceptionally high and was testament to the staff employed by Raphael Healthcare Ltd. In January 2008 Raphael Healthcare was awarded Preferred Provider status.
