The Farndon Unit is pleased to announce that its Social Work Team has been shortlisted as finalist in the “Team of the Year – Adult Services” category of Social Worker of the Year Awards 2011.  This award recognises outstanding teams working in Adult Services who show they are excelling and are making the difference to adult service users, show they consistently meet KPI targets and have generated good team spirit, with low staff turnover.
 
Carol Collins, Head of Social Work at The Farndon Unit says “I am really excited and proud that our team has been chosen as a finalist.  This is a national award and marks the pinnacle of what we could hope to achieve as social workers. “
 
The Social Worker of the Year Awards are about showcasing the best work in the profession and improving the reputation of social work.   It recognises and celebrates the challenging work of qualified social workers as well as highlighting the good work they do.  The ceremony is to be held at the House of Lords on 16th December 2011.
